Is Vardenafil as Good as Levitra?

What is ED ? ED, or erectile dysfunction, is a condition wherein a man has complications in achieving and maintaining an erection during sexual intercourse. As men get older, they are more likely to experience ED, but it can affect men at any age. Fortunately, many effective treatments are available for ED, such as Levitra Vardenafil.

How Serious Is Erectile Dysfunction

ED may not be life-threatening, but it can severely impact a man’s self-esteem and cause problems in his intimate relationships. Moreover, ED could also be a sign of a hidden health problem requiring immediate medical attention. ED may be caused by diabetes, heart disease or hypertension. If left untreated, a person with ED may also experience psychological and emotional distress, which may even aggravate the symptoms of ED.

Analysis and Treatment for ED

Diagnosing ED begins with a medical exam and understanding a person’s medical history. The doctor will ask the patient about their symptoms, lifestyle habits, and if they are taking any medications.

The treatment of erectile dysfunction will depend on the primary cause of the problem. Here are the usual treatment options:

  1. Lifestyle Changes: It is essential to modify your lifestyle for the better, such as eating the right kinds of food, reducing alcohol consumption, exercising regularly, and quitting smoking.
  2. Medications: Oral medications such as Levitra Vardenafil are popular because they are convenient and proven effective. These medications are designed to increase the blood flow to the penis, resulting in an erection.
  3. Penile Injections: If oral medications do not work well for the patient, doctors could recommend alternative options such as Alprostadil, a drug injected into the penis to help the patient achieve an erection.
  4. Surgery: A penile implant can be recommended if the patient’s condition is severe.
  5. Vacuum Devices: Penile pumps are recommended to patients who prefer not to take oral medications or if the other treatments are not feasible.
  6. Shockwave therapy: is an alternative, non-invasive treatment for ED. It is a fairly recent technique that has emerged over the last decade.

Keep in mind that not all treatments may be effective. However, the doctor will ensure they will recommend the best treatment option according to the patient’s situation. In most cases, oral medications such as Levitra Vardenafil are recommended for its effectiveness and ease of use.

Vardenafil is more commonly known by the brand name Levitra, a prescription medication intended for ED patients. Levitra Vardenafil belongs to a class of drugs called PDE5 or phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors which can increase blood flow during sexual stimulation.

This medication is in tablet form and is usually taken at least 30 minutes or an hour before engaging in sexual activity. The effects of the drug can last up to 5 hours. Important to note is that they won’t get an erection again right after intercourse, but they can still get an erection after a few minutes or so

Patients that are taking Levitra Vardenafil should also be aware of the usual side effects, such as the following:

How Effective is Levitra Vardenafil?

However, it is essential to note that the efficacy of Levitra Vardenafil would depend on several factors like age, cause of ED and overall patient health.

The FDA has published their clinical trial results for Levitra and has shown that 80% of patients with ED have reported improvements in their condition. This is after the patients have taken 20mg of Levitra, which is the highest recommended dose.

The International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) questionnaire below will provide you with a quick result in the form of a score from 5 to 25.

Men with concerns about their erectile function can take this quick test and get some information on whether it might be good to seek help for ED.

What Qualifies as an Erectile Dysfunction Problem?

Most men have experienced some difficulty in getting or keeping an erection. Having trouble when you’re nervous or have had too much to drink may not be something to be concerned about.

It isn’t erectile dysfunction unless you are experiencing ongoing difficulty.

The Canadian Study of Erectile Dysfunction identified 49.4% of men over 40 with ED (Canadian Urological Association erectile dysfunction guideline 2015). Though all men may experience an occasional lapse of sexual function, ED is the persistent inability to achieve an erection, despite being sexually aroused.

IIEF-5 Erectile Dysfunction Questionnaire Scoring

Each of the questions has five possible responses, with score values from one to five.

Your total score is simply the sum of the values of all five answers to the ED test questions.

Possible ED Test Score Ranges

22-25: No erectile dysfunction
17-21: Mild erectile dysfunction
12-16: Mild to moderate erectile dysfunction
8-11: Moderate erectile dysfunction
5-7: Severe erectile dysfunction

The results of this brief self-evaluation should be used as a guide for whether you might want to consult with a doctor, and not as a replacement for a medical consultation.

Take the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) Questionnaire

Answer the five questions and the results will be automatically emailed to you in minutes.

The information you choose to share will be treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to any third parties.

1. How do you rate your confidence that you could get and keep an erection?**
2.When you had erections with sexual stimulation, how often were your erections hard enough for penetration?*
3. During sexual intercourse, how often were you able to maintain your erection after you had penetrated (entered) your partner?*
4. During sexual intercourse, how difficult was it to maintain your erection to completion of intercourse?*
5. When you attempted sexual intercourse, how often was it satisfactory for you?*
