Telemedicine Options for Getting a Viagra Prescription Safely

ED (erectile dysfunction) can cause severe problems in your intimate relationship. This condition can affect men of all ages. It can be induced by various factors, such as an existing medical condition or as a side effect of certain medications.

Fortunately, ED can be adequately managed with the guidance of a qualified healthcare provider, who can provide a prescription for you to secure Viagra online. However, it is essential to note that although Viagra is one of the leading ED medications, this little blue pill is not intended for every patient.

The Power of Viagra

Sildenafil is the generic name for Viagra and is usually prescribed to help treat ED or the inability of a man to achieve and maintain an erection during sexual activity. This medication belongs to a class of drugs called PDE-5 (phosphodiesterase type 5) inhibitors which works by boosting the blood flow to the penis and helps facilitate an erection when sexual stimulation is involved.

Viagra is the brand name, but this medication is also available in generic form, and you can use Viagra online as long as you have a valid prescription. This pill comes in various dosage forms, starting from 25mg up to 100mg.

The recommended dosage for ED treatment starts at 50mg but can vary from person to person. Proper consultation is necessary since your doctor will first determine the cause of your ED so they can prescribe the most appropriate treatment or medication.

Viagra typically works within 1 hour after it is ingested, and its effects can last up to 4 hours, depending on several factors. It is best to take Viagra on an empty stomach to help make the drug work faster. Additionally, it is best to incorporate a healthier lifestyle to ensure that you will experience the full benefits of the pill.

Online Consultation: Get a Prescription for Viagra Canada

If you are experiencing any of the following ED symptoms, please schedule a consultation with your doctor:

  • Trouble achieving an erection
  • Difficulty in maintaining an erection
  • Delayed or premature ejaculation

An online consultation is more convenient since you don’t have to leave your home and worry about the traffic. You will typically go through the same process as with a face-to-face consultation, which involves the following:

  • Filling out a registration form
  • Reviewing your medical history
  • Getting a list of all medications or supplements that you are taking
  • Assessing your ED symptoms
  • Filling out questionnaires for sexual health examination

The main difference between an online and face-to-face consultation is your doctor won’t be able to conduct a physical examination. However, they will still review your symptoms and overall condition to determine the exact cause of ED. Sometimes, your doctor may request that you show up at their facility for lab tests.

Proper assessment is necessary so your doctor can provide the right treatment plan, such as taking medications like Viagra. They will also deliver a prescription so you can get Viagra online or from a physical drugstore.

It is essential to understand that online consultations are unsuitable for all patients. Your doctor will still conduct an initial assessment. However, you will still have to attend an in-person examination if further assessment is necessary.

As previously mentioned, Sildenafil or Viagra can only be accessed if you have a valid prescription since taking the medication comes with a risk of side effects or potentially harmful contraindications. Please stay away from male vitality supplements that do not require a prescription since they can possibly do more harm than good.

Also, by requiring a prescription for Viagra, regulatory authorities will be able to prevent the abuse and misuse of the medication. This is true, especially for Viagra, since taking it without proper medical supervision can lead to serious health complications.

Health Risks and Safety Concerns When Taking Viagra

Just like any other medication, taking Sildenafil or Viagra can cause unwanted side effects such as the following:

  • Blurred vision
  • Chest pain
  • Dizziness
  • fainting
  • Flushing
  • Itching or burning sensation during urination
  • Priapism or prolonged erection
  • Rash
  • Ringing in ears
  • Shortness of breath

If you experience any side effects, stop taking the medication and call your doctor immediately for medical advice. If you experience severe side effects, please go to the ER immediately.

Sildenafil is not prescribed to patients who are taking certain medications like nitrates. The combination of nitrates and Sildenafil can lead to a significant drop in your blood pressure, which may cause dizziness, fainting or even heart attack or stroke.

Your doctor will not prescribe Sildenafil if you are taking drugs for angina or chest pain treatment, alpha-blockers or if you are taking any form of recreational drugs or poppers. During your doctor’s consultation, make sure to provide them with a complete list of all medications you are carrying, and it is best to discuss all possible side effects or interactions before you use Viagra online.

Never change your prescription or exceed the recommended dosage without consulting your doctor. Trust your doctor’s recommendation to get the best results from the medication. Viagra or its generic counterpart is generally safe to take. Still, it can potentially lead to dangerous interactions if misused.

Here’s a quick guide on how to properly take Viagra:

  • Take the pill only once daily
  • Do not crush the pill; swallow it with water or juice
  • Take Viagra on an empty stomach, but if you are hungry, make sure to eat a light meal
  • Take the pill at least an hour before engaging in sex
  • Do not drink too much alcohol when you are also taking Viagra
  • Do not take Viagra if you also take illegal drugs like cocaine, ecstasy, or LSD.
  • Take the prescribed dosage.

Viagra is one of the leading ED medications because of its efficacy. Still, it should not be taken without the guidance of a healthcare provider. See a doctor or schedule an online consultation first to ensure you get the appropriate treatment.

After careful assessment of your condition, your doctor will then prescribe the proper treatment so you can safely secure Viagra online, which can help manage your condition and ultimately revive your sex life.

The International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) questionnaire below will provide you with a quick result in the form of a score from 5 to 25.

Men with concerns about their erectile function can take this quick test and get some information on whether it might be good to seek help for ED.

What Qualifies as an Erectile Dysfunction Problem?

Most men have experienced some difficulty in getting or keeping an erection. Having trouble when you’re nervous or have had too much to drink may not be something to be concerned about.

It isn’t erectile dysfunction unless you are experiencing ongoing difficulty.

The Canadian Study of Erectile Dysfunction identified 49.4% of men over 40 with ED (Canadian Urological Association erectile dysfunction guideline 2015). Though all men may experience an occasional lapse of sexual function, ED is the persistent inability to achieve an erection, despite being sexually aroused.

IIEF-5 Erectile Dysfunction Questionnaire Scoring

Each of the questions has five possible responses, with score values from one to five.

Your total score is simply the sum of the values of all five answers to the ED test questions.

Possible ED Test Score Ranges

22-25: No erectile dysfunction
17-21: Mild erectile dysfunction
12-16: Mild to moderate erectile dysfunction
8-11: Moderate erectile dysfunction
5-7: Severe erectile dysfunction

The results of this brief self-evaluation should be used as a guide for whether you might want to consult with a doctor, and not as a replacement for a medical consultation.

Take the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) Questionnaire

Answer the five questions and the results will be automatically emailed to you in minutes.

The information you choose to share will be treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to any third parties.

1. How do you rate your confidence that you could get and keep an erection?**
2.When you had erections with sexual stimulation, how often were your erections hard enough for penetration?*
3. During sexual intercourse, how often were you able to maintain your erection after you had penetrated (entered) your partner?*
4. During sexual intercourse, how difficult was it to maintain your erection to completion of intercourse?*
5. When you attempted sexual intercourse, how often was it satisfactory for you?*
